Ingenious Lighting’s Founder and Design Director, Simon Rozenberg, created the striking “ice bar” and reception lighting for the five-star Radisson Bucharest Hotel. The ICE BAR utilizes both white and blue lighting to give the illusion of the bar floating above a glass floor, complete with a fibre optic illuminated stream running beneath. Mystical lanterns ascend from eye-level to the ceiling, while in-ground blue LED wall washers at the column bases emit elegant indigo, violet, and soft mauve hues. The result is a sophisticated, futuristic interior, which has become the premier destination in Bucharest.
Many international hotels have faced challenges with the lifespan, energy efficiency, and colour consistency of ES/BC-based LED lamps in bedrooms and decorative fixtures. Excessive costs for replacements and premature, non-recyclable lamp failures posed significant issues, especially in the context of sustainability. Ingenious Lighting, committed to the circular economy, responded by developing the “V2” light engine. Suitable for both 240VAC and LV-DC applications, the V2 features on-board microcontrollers, TRIAC dimming, and 12V constant current options, delivering over 50,000 hours of operation, 112 lm/W, 930 lm, and a CRI of 93. This innovation allows hotels to maintain a luxurious ambience while focusing on guest service.
Originally developed for the Red Sea Project, the MORPH lighting system has been further refined to offer static and dynamic white options in a robust IP66 housing. Designed to withstand the harshest environments while delivering flexibility for numerous applications, MORPH is a compact, high-output light engine that can be seamlessly integrated into any decorative fixture. Already adopted by blue-chip casinos, hotels, and palaces, MORPH is set to feature in many prestigious projects.
